To call or not to call?
By: tmhoblogger (03 August 2009)

The poem below The Door written by TMHOgirl and posted in Life describes exactly how I feel.
I have spent the weekend wondering whether to call Smart, even just to enquire how the job hunting is going and to make sure that he is fine. I stare at his number on my phone, not that I need to, it is committed in my head.
Many times I go over conversations we could have, or how I could start the phone call, and many times, I choose not to call.
He has my number. He knows where I live, work, hang out. He chose to break our relationship. He said he needed space to sort his life out. He chose to go quiet. It is only logical that he should choose to get back in touch, should he wish to get back in touch.
But when you are dealing with a broken heart, logic stays right out of that door.
-----
The Door
I stare at the number
It stares right back at me
To ring or not to ring
As they say, that's the question
I know I dare not ring
I know I dare to ring
The fear of ringing
The fear of not ringing
For when it is over
It is over, so very over
When the time is called
Accept and slam that door
But what if the damn door
Refuses to be slammed shut
Your head says shut
Your head says open
For when he gets into your head
Screws with it, leaves his prints
Removing those prints
Can be so very hard
But shut that door must stay
Go away, leave my head be
No screwing around here
Just let me alone be

"Call him but be prepared for what might happen especially, if it's not what you need or would like. Play the scenarios like MP3s but why not write them down and sell it as a book. "
