Totally Speechless Part 2

By: tmhoblogger (22 May 2009)

My blog has been neglected mostly because redundancies were finally announced after months of rumours. So it looks like most people all over the world, I am waiting to hear whether I will have a job in the near future. Sure, I hate my job, but the idea of being unemployed in the climate, scares the living daylight out of me.

But enough of that.

Last week, I posted that I was totally speechless. My loss of my oral faculty was because after nearly a year (I could tell you the exact number of days as I did in my earlier blogs but that would be a great disservice to my boyfriend Smart), OK, screw that. 358 days after unceremoniously dumping me, after we had sex, without warning, explanation, notice period for good behaviour, absolute fuck all, and as if our 3 year relationship had been nothing but a casual fling, the Ex contacted me.

The Ex who had deleted me from his Facebook list the same night he dumped me, sent me a friend's request on Facebook! He followed this in the typical twatish way of the Ex with a Facebook email that read:

"I miss us. We should do dinner and sort things out. X"

Because that is all it would take to fix us - dinner! The arrogance of that man! No apology. No how are you. No I dumped you because… No enquiry as to whether I was in fact single. Nothing but the mere assumption that he snaps his gorgeous little fingers, and I go running back into his arms like a love-sick puppy.

But like a good friend with his head firmly screwed said to me when I went on a massive rant about replying and telling him to go to hell, maybe you should just stop, do nothing, say nothing and think nothing for the next few days.

And so I did. I ignored the Ex's Facebook email. I ignored his friend's request. I equally ignored him the next day when he sent the same 11 word email to my private email address, copied to my work email address. I ignored the text he sent to my phone three days later.

"I assume you are away without email access. I will call you in a week or so."

I shall ignore him if/when he calls.

"Silence is golden and by ignoring him will show that he is no longer significant in your life. Welcome back and look forward to hearing about the Blonde's antics. "
